Post Driver side window master switch problems

2002-04 Chevy Trailblazer Master Window Switch

my driver side window dosent work all other 3 switches are working fine,
these are the steps i did so for:
removed the master switch and clean all contacts (dint work)
order another switch from a junk jard (still doing the same problem)
tested the motor from the switch wire down and motor works fine.Meaning that the problems is on the switch, after doing research i found out the switch need some programing from dealer.
daler charge $96 to re-program switch and that didnt work.dealer was asking to much money to diagnost the problem so here i am asking for help from someone that had similar problems.
Thanks

Re: Driver side window master switch problems

Look at this schematic there is more than the master involved in this circuit. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/rep...00c1528022aac7

Smile Re: Driver side window master switch problems

Thanks The schematic work for me.

i traced the digram and find out that there is a separete voltage for that switch , basically under the rear door next to the fuse box the cables where burn , orange cable. due to a screw that came from under the chasis.
i belive this is a common problem with this vehicle.

Thanks for your help. issue resolve.

@Radames!!!!!!!!! It took me 10 mins to reg with this site but I had to tell you that you helped my situation. I have a 02 trailblazer and went through the tough trials of finding the problem. Your post fixed it in 2 mins thank you. My wire was burned under the front door floor panel though. Im so excited because its about to be summer time. :banan adie

Re: Driver side window master switch problems

Would someone please tell me how to contct Radames or maxwedge so I can figure out how to access this diagram and establish what color wire is the separate voltage for the switch and where to trace it. I can't even begin to retreive the diagram from AutoZone....I have the same problem and have replaced the switch.......PLEASE HELP!

Re: Driver side window master switch problems

Thanks for pointing me towards the door jamb wiring... Couldn't understand why occasionally my headlights would dim. Found cut orange wire shorting to ground intermittently... Simple fix now after new door switch and regulator ;-(
