How do I test the crank sensor TDC to see if it works?
Can I use a multimeter to check the wire for voltage or resistance. |

Re: Crank sensor TDC check
According to the haynes manual on mustangs ( with a voltmeter set on AC scale, check for a pulsing voltage signal between 0 and .05 volts as the engine is slowly rotated

Re: Crank sensor TDC check
3.8l v6 and 4.6l v8 have cam sensor and crank sensor yes.
there is only 1 lob on the cam sensor and 35 lobs on the crank sensor I checked all my cam / crank sensor and they all work but my v8 4.6l still does not start |

Re: Crank sensor TDC check
You can make sure it's not a fuel problem by spraying starting fluid or carb cleaner into the intake and try to start it. Also I once had a bad main relay that tested good but it was bad and I replaced it and the car started right up.

Re: Crank sensor TDC check
if i spray fuel in there it will start for burn it.
where is this relay? i moved the relays around to test for bad ones by changing the first 2 and the other 3 in different spots. |
