Hello!
I'm trying to replace my 1.6l 1989 Scirocco rocker cover gasket and its proving awkward. The Hanes manual is hopeless....... or maybe I am! Anyone know how to get the timing belt covers off as I'm at a loss. There don't appear to be any bolts holding it on, just a wierd plug type thing with no head to turn. Help! |

Re: Scirocco Rocker Gasket Removal
You need a 5 or 6 mm allen wrench. I forget, most of my vw's don't have the t-belt cover anymore. Then, if its a metal top cover, the 2 10mm nuts closest to the belt will also have to be taken off before removal. If its a plastic cover there are 2 clips.
