supercharged boost issues?

hey, i got a 2000 trans am..many many mods..including ported heads..big cam..alot of top end..i have the powerdyne set up..supposed to run around 6 psi..im only making 2 psi currently on the stock pulley which im told is 3.25..im gonna try to put a 2.93 pulley on and see if that ups the boost? im thinking all the upgrades on the car are actually holding the supercharger back, since there made for stock cars..any ideas

Re: supercharged boost issues?

You say "upgraded cam" and "big cam". Can you be more specific? Duration @ .050 lift and LSA are important parameters in an engine like this one. A "hot" cam for a streeter may not be a good choice with the blower. While it may affect power production, it shouldn't reduce total boost in the plenum, but I suppose it MIGHT.
