keep breaking trans mounts need help
well it is what it is 89 iroc keeps breaking trans mount every couple weeks
i know i shouldn't solid mount it but why dose it keep breaking them. the only thing i can think of is when the car hooks the torque arm is pulling on it too hard is there a way to mount the torque arm to maybe the cross member or the floor thanks in advance

check your eng mounts all mounts work together each taking there share of the torque from eng to rear, sounds like your tranny mount is taking more then its share of a twist torque since the rear end is not dirrectly attached to tranny but through a drive shaft driven by a twist torque. i up wind back at eng which is directly attached to tranny and if eng twists so does tranny

yeah the motor mounts are brand new about 700 miles ago, it is however heavily modified i did figure out a way to take the torque arm mount off the tail shaft im thinking this will help
