power window problem

I have a 2001 Isuza Rodeo. My rear power windows aren't working correctly from the drivers seat, but they do work at the seat they are at. Any suggestions on what's going on here and how I can fix it?

Thanks,
Kevin

Re: power window problem

Can you be more specific on how they are not working properly?

A lot of times the fault lies within the wiring bundle that goes from the door to the body. The constant flexing of the wires from opening and closing the door can lead to poor connections.

Re: power window problem

The rear windows work when controlled by the passengers in the back seats, but I can only make the back left window go down and I can't make it go back up from the front seat controls. The right rear window is the opposite, I can put it up but not down. If I want to fully use the windows properly I have to control it from the seat next to the window, not the drivers seat controls. The motors are working, but there is something wrong with the drivers seat controls. It's a nuissance to not be able to completely control the rear windows from the drivers seat.

Re: power window problem

Probably your driver switch. On that switch, put a voltmeter across those windows' switch that are problematic. See if you are getting power when the switch is closed.
