Ignition tune question

Ok(gasps)

So, i've basically got all I need to have to tune the fuel controller on my car(see, it was up there when I bought it, just now learning how to tune it). All I needed was a external disc drive(bc my laptop is tiny and doesnt have one) and some other random cords and connectors to hook everything up. But again, this is just a FUEL controller.

I asked recently what I needed to use to tune my ignition and I believe dave answered me.

My question here is, is it even gonna do me any good to tune just the fuel, having to wait a while to buy the ignition controller? Or can I tune without tuning the ignition for now? Do they have to be tuned at the same time?

Re: Ignition tune question

Ok I was looking at the msd dis 2 ignition controller, and I was looking over the wiring diagram, and it shows where you can plug this thing into a tach adapter, which they also sell, but dont nec have to. Now, i already have a tach adapter for the portfueler, would i also need to tie this dis box into the tach adap. or would it matter if it wasnt?
