Question Primer for Acrylic Paints

What is a good primer to use with Tamiya acrylic paints? Any recommendations? Thanks.

A good question. I am not sure, but i think Tamiya white primer will do.

Nope....I don't think so.
I used Krylon sandable once and couldn't get Tamiya paints to stick to it in any decent form.....ended up stripping it and starting over.

I would only recommend Tamiya primer, I use it under their acryllics and it works great.

Freakray...does the Tamiya primer spray out transparent then whiten up? I used it last week on my little bro's car and it didn't spray well for some strange reason. The stuff in the bottle was super thick! I had to thin it out quite a bit and when I sprayed it the primer looked like powdered sugar on the shell when it dried up (speckles everywhere). Maybe I just purchased a "bad" bottle of primer?

I use Tamiya primer in a rattle can, sprays white or grey depending straight out the can, I just make sure to shake the can good before I start spraying.
Never had it come out clear as you say, so perhaps you didn't get it mixed enough?
