93-97 to 98-02 Front Conversion Issue

Hi, has anyone done this conversion? I did it and everything is fine except the headlights will not work the same. The 93-97 firebirds had the one headlight on each side with two filaments in it. The 98-02 has two lights. The 93-97 would turn off the low beams when the highs come on, and turn them off when the lows come on. The 98-02 keeps the lows on with the highs. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to get mine to work like they should without putting in a diff relay? Thanks a lot!

What if you splice into the powered wires for the high beam and connect them to the low beams? This way, both sets of lights get power when the high beams are on. I'm not sure on the overall power draw, but, this could work.
