Bad leds, cheapo fix?

Well, both my led rears gave up on me. And I just got a fix-it ticket last night. Around town here I have seen a large number of these cars that the trunk lights are totally out and just acting as reflectors while the corner lights are operating as brake/signals. This seems like a more viable option than chucking out 80 bucks for another set that will, without a doubt, fail. Does anyone here know how this is done? I assume you just cut the wires to the leds and wire them up to the corners but I just wonder if anyone knows the EXACT way to do this?

Re: Bad leds, cheapo fix?

Just unplug the LED reflector panels if you do not like how they look.
The panels are decorative and serve no other purpose.

Re: Bad leds, cheapo fix?

Its not that I don't like the appearance, its that they are broken and I don't have blinkers or brake lights because the led panels are the blinkers and brakes...

Are your original, stock, corner, brake lights/turn signals not working?

Re: Bad leds, cheapo fix?

I assume not... I've got that BLINKYBLINKYBLINKYBLINKY thing going on and I just pulled the bulbs out and they aren't burnt out... Should I complete the curcuit in the led lead with a wire and see if that helps?

Re: Bad leds, cheapo fix?

Get your original, stock, corner, brake lights/turn signals working.
That's what the "fix-it ticket" is for.

Re: Bad leds, cheapo fix?

Have your LED reflector panels been modified to function as blinkers and brake lights?
