Possible to have no exhaust?
I know this may sound stupid but i was wondering if you could still operate a vehicle with no exhaust i know you wont pass emissions but would you car be louder?And any dangerous issues?

what do you mean 'no exhaust'? it is 100% IMPOSSIBLE to build a car without some kind of exhaust. i'm not sure if you worded that wrong or what, but every internal combustion engine has to have an exhaust system. did you mean no muffler or what?

well it's totally doable, but as you mentioned you'd fail smog, and its just illegal in and of itself. it would make your car a lot louder, but there would be no danger issues unless you consider tickets dangerous. if you got a wide enough straightpipe though you could make it look sorta like a muffler and maybe solve some of those issues. you'd also probably need a resonator or something to make it not sound like crap. there's no point though really. just get a muffler thats a straight canister

i run with no muffler, but witha big resonator only. that full straight pipe from the heads to the rear

There is a big difference in a Turboed car running without a Muffler and a NA car. The turbo's themselves Muffle the sound a lot! thats why turboed cars running open DP don't hurt your ears..
Also it is not impossible to build a car without exhaust. quite simply don't put it on.. lol problem is it would be insanely loud and you will burn up your Exhaust Valves. Jason

I ran open down pipe for ever it was louder but i loved it. Vert ran open turbo for months ... speaking of vert what happend to him or yogs, or musashi? ...

its not safe to run open headers for a long period of time, especially open turbos, also the engine usually needs some backpressure
