Rim size question for 2003 GTP.

Hi all.

I just bought a 2003 GTP and want to know if a 15 inch rim will fit? I have a set of dunlop graspics snow tires and steel rims for my 99 grand am se and was wondering if they will fit over rotars or do I need to sell and get new snows and rims.

Re: Rim size question for 2003 GTP.

Congratulations.

It should. Both share the same bolt pattern of 115 X 5. The base model '03 GP SE came with 15" wheels stock in size P205/70-15. All '03 Grand Prix models whether SE, GT or GTP use the same hub assembly too. The wheel offset should be pretty close or similar.

Best thing to do is try it out and check for proper caliper and rotor clearance.

Thanks for the response. I wasnt sure if anyone would even look at a rim size question. The clearance is what im unsure of. Keep my fingers crossed, that will save me a few hundred if they do.

Re: Rim size question for 2003 GTP.

I thought the grand am and grand prx had different bolt patters.

You may need to buy a new set of steel rims to put your snow tires on.

Re: Rim size question for 2003 GTP.

Bolt patterns the same that i know of, looked at getting the 16's off a 01 gt awhile back to put on the grand am and that had the same pattern. I'm just hoping someone knows first hand if there's enough clearance for the caliper. Grand ams have a tiny rotor and just by apperance the ones on the GTP are lot bigger.

That is incorrect Tim. The '99 and up GA and sister Alero have the same bolt pattern as the '97 - '03 GP models which is 115mm X 5.
