there should be a little like indentation right next to it that you can just stick your key in.

Maintenance Required Light 2002 Honda Accord
Does anyone know how to reset the Maintenance Required Light on a 2002 Accord? It's making me crazy and I'm not paying for a "scheduled maintenance" to have it shut off. Please help me! Thanks.

like evey1 said....stick your ignition key into the hole of your spedometer cover. there should be a square with a light thats red, yellow or green. when you reset it, it should turn green.

Re: Maintence Required Light
I have a 99 accord ex. My maintenance light was doing the blinking job after I turned the ignition, You know, at first it blinks and after a while it will just stay on. But I went and got an oil change and it went away.

The flashing maintance light in the lower left of the dash board can only be reset by;
1) leave the key in the off position 2) press the right button (used to reset the miles traveled) and while doing so, turn the key to the start position. (past the accessory position) and hold the button for 10 seconds. 3) after doing so, release the button, turn the car off then start the car. The light should not flash for another 3k miles or 3 mnths. which ever comes first. This is a maintaince light that will flash for 10 seconds when the car is started letting you know that the time is close to service the car. When service is over due, the light will stay lit when the car is started. This is for the 6th Generation Accords. (98-02) Prior accords will have a slot they can stick a small key inside of to reset the maintaince gauge. Their gauge will turn from green to yellow to red. I assume not too many people know this information. There are friggin over a 1000 views bbut only 9 responses
