Thumbs down 93 Lumina Ball Joints

How hard is it to replace the lower balls joints on a 93 3.1L sedan?

Depends on what you call hard.

Re: 93 Lumina Ball Joints

The first time you replace ball joints is usually baffling, because the joint is usually pressed extremely tightly into the control arm..... it will seem that no amount of force will pop it out and/or the joint is held in by rivets that seem impossible to get to.

If you have a good ball joint press and/or are really handy with a small grinder or dremel tool, it's no more difficult than doing a complete brake job.

On this car once the rivets a chopped out they fall out, nice but unusual.
