'74 MGB sputtering constantly....

I have a '74 MGB that is sputtering constantly while running, weak power while driving at any speed and smells like it's running very rich. When trying to remain at idle it will die and stall. I've changed the plugs and wires. Any thoughts? Thank you! Austin.
