Hi i have a 1994 camry le 4 cylinders. 117k miles. and for some reason the all lock/unlock stopped working in the front passenger side. If I press all lock/unlock, all of the doors lock/unlock except the front passenger side. The buttons works fine on both sides. the nob doesn't turn in the front passenger side.
any help on how to fix this.? |

Re: all lock/unlock stopped working in front passanger side
Sounds like the lock actuator motor in that door has broken or is too weak to move it. The only way to fix it is to remove the door panel and repair/replace it...not an easy thing given the depth of the door. You cannot see inside there and space is limited for any tools.
My Cam has the exact same problem (sometimes it works but most of the time the lock knob just twitches or goes half-way) and have yet to figure out how to even get to it. My thought is to unbolt the door latch receiver and extract it from the door, expecting the actuator to be connected, then go from there to diagnose the problem. Any others in here with experience in fixing this are welcome to chime in.
