speed sensitiive steering

Hi
My 97 k1500 has started to have a hard steering while parking.
I am guessing it could be related to the speed sensitive steering switch.
At this time I only have a 1996 shop manual, and it looks like the 96 didn't have this feature because I can't find it anywhere in the book.
I also have a Chilton CD but it is quite useless.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Bob B

Re: speed sensitiive steering

Hi,
Yes I thought that too because it felt like a slipping V belt I had once.
But the Serpentine belt isn't too old and it feels tight. Maybe I should check it really closer.
It has only happened twice so it is hard to see if you make any difference to it.
Thanks,
Bob B
