91 toro dies out in traffic!

my 1991 toronando died out 3 times on an errand. twice it started right up, another time it took 10 minutes before it fired!115000 miles, otherwise it runs like a top. 30mpg on highway.is there an order of test i should follow to diagnose something. the car is running fine @ the moment.

fuel pres. is 48# with key on, and, 36# with engine running, this seems low. changing fuel filter, and, and will take second pres. test. new fuel filter does not change pres.

Hopefully you have resolved the problem you had with your car cutting out when driving - as your post was sometime ago; however, I did have a similar problem when I was driving down the highway or side streets and my 92 Toro would just quit. It ended up being the crank sensor, and cam sensor, I think I had about 100K miles on it. bb
