Air Bag Light Code.

2000 Venture. At startup the Air Bag light blinks then stays on solid sometimes not always. Does this also set a code that I can read and has anyone else had similar issues ?

I don't think there is any code for the airbags. (FWIW, Haynes doesn't show any in the code list)

If your van has the drivers power seat and also has the front seatback side-mounted air bags, check the wiring connections (harness) under the drivers seat and the front passenger seat.

I had a 2000 Silo with this fault and it turned out to be a dirty connection under the drivers seat.

I disconnected it, sprayed electrical contact cleaner in each connector, applied a little dielectric grease, reconnected and never had a problem after.

Re: Air Bag Light Code.

There are air bag codes, a high line scanner can access this info, no other way short of, as suggested, finding something disconnected, careful fooling with this system, though.
