Stalling followed by not starting
I just went through my 1992 2500 to get it to run. The truck started missing about two weeks ago and then progressed to not starting. Originally I thought it was fuel related. I only had 6-7 pounds of pressure and thought a new pump, strainer, and filter would solve the problem. After the fix the truck would run awhile and then quit.
Next "fix" was the ignition module, followed by a new coil; still would not start. The last 'fix"was the right one; map sensor. I had no idea that the map sensor controlled the spark. Thanks for all of posts. They were most helpful in planning the order of "fixes", GEG |

Re: Stalling followed by not starting
You are welcome and thanks for posting back how it went and the fix.
BUT Map sensor does not control spark. It controls fuel mix.
