2004 overheating

hi,
i have a 2004 cavalier that starts to heat up with alot of stop and go driving. red lights , stop signs, etc. the car only has 28,000 miles on it.

Cooling fan probably isn't coming on. Check that it runs, if not check the fuse (replace if blown) and for power and ground at the connector for the fan.

If its hot outside, and your doing stop and go driving... yea, its going to do it.

Moving should read 1 click below 195, in traffic at stop lights I go between 195 and half way to red until fan kicks on. Fan will also remain on when key is pulled and cars engine is still above 195.
