Replaced Ignition Switch now wont turn off.

I had replaced my ignition switch last year when I was troubleshooting a No Start scenario. The problem was not the ignition switch. However, after it while the new switch failed. When I would turn the ignition off everything like radio, heater... would stay on after you would exit the car or open the door.

So today. I put the old ignition switch back in. And it appeared to work fine. Except now. If I turn the ignition off while my foot is on the brake, the car won't shut off. As soon as I release the brake, the car shuts off. If I put my foot on the brake with the key in the off position, all the dash lights come on as if I put the key to on.

Any ideas?

Thanks
