transfer case fluid fill??94 rodeo m/t

I would like to add/fill my transfer case.First question..oil or atf. My guess would be oil if so what viscosity. Now for the stupid question where do i fill it? Is there a cap right on the transfer case? any help would be awesome

on my old 2000 it took 5w-30 motor oil. but you have a different generation so it could be different.

there is a fill plug on the case. mike

Should be 5W-30 motor oil, the fill cap is located on the right side near the torsion bar and the drain is on the bottom.

Takes a 24mm wrench and lots of power, usually, the plugs are very tight. Make sure you can get the fill plug loose before taking the drain plug off.

You'll need to buy 2 quarts of oil if you drain it, it will take about 1-1/2 to fill it.
