Fuel pump part numbers

(2000 Blazer, 4 dr, 2wd, LS)

Gonna have to get a new fuel pump. What's the part number for it? I've mostly found Delphi pumps come up in searches.

In fact, this one: W0133-1599177 (Delphi)
looks exactly like the OEM (claims to be OEM part) and is $242. Then there is a huge jump in price to $330 for Delphi and AC Delco.

I would feel safe with a Delphi, but can't figure out what the deal on the cheaper one is. I've found it to say its for 2000 blazer, 4 dr, fits all sub-models.

Something doesn't seem right, though. Why do they have one just like it that claims to fit the same vehicle for $100 more, with no difference in specs?

Call your local Chevy dealer and get a part number.

The pump for your 4 dr is GM 25176789

O"rielly Delphi part no FG0052 307$ cost.

If you don't mind replacing the fuel pump on a regular basis, go with an aftermarket pump. If you only want to do it one time, go with AC Delco or Delphi.

As MT said, "Fuel pumps are like girls, can not always go by looks." It's the way they perform that really matters! Do yourself a favor and stay away from aftermarket stuff.

Good info from both of these guys, and remember this:

AC DElco fuel pumps were spun off to Delphi, so while you may find a listing for Delco, they no longer are made.

The last pump I bought was listed as an A.C.Delco, and arrived in an A.C.Delco box with a Delphi label plastered on top of the Delco p/n.
The have different p/n's for the same pump, but rest assured Delphi is now the OEM part.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do your self a favor and stay with the Delphi pump. Pay the extra $100, borrow the money, collect aluminum cans but don't buy the cheap pumps.

If you buy an Airtex pump, you will pay a lot less, but you will be sorry. If you are lucky enough to get one that works the first time out of the box, it probably won't last more than 6 months to a year. Then you will get to do it all over again.

Some aftermarket pumps have a different connector which will require you to cut the OEM connector off and splice their new connector on.

I checked out a customers 2000 Yukon a few weeks ago and diagnosed a bad fuel pump. He came back the next day with an Airtex pump. I told him I don't install them, and why. He opted to go elsewhere and have it installed on 6/13/09. The day he picked it up he had problems. After going back several times for hard starting, hesitation, and a noisy pump, he still got no satisfaction. They told him everything was fine. He swallowed his pride and stopped by the other day and I put the gauge on it: Key on, engine off, pump running, 57psi, leakdown to 40psi after 5 minutes, and the thing was noisy, no doubt! I did a little checking around online and found an Airtex E3508M for $185USD, and a Delphi FG0324 for $209USD. Today I removed the 4 week old Airtex pump and installed a Delphi pump. Key on, engine off, pump running, (I think, couldn't really hear it): 63psi, leakdown to 58psi and held for an hour and a half! All problems solved, happy customer.

WOW. I sure hope that the customer got his money back for the POS Airtex pump and if not, I hope he returned it through the front window of the parts store that sold it.

I hope that not only this customer learned his lesson, I also hope that everyone else will take heed.
