Re: 69 chevy c-20

So it won't start when "hot". Does it "crank" and just not "fire"? Or does it not want to "crank"?

Make sure the vacuum advance on the distributor is working. Use a hand vacuum pump and be sure its moving. I've had them stick and the timing is advanced its very hard to turn over.
Add more information so it can be determined exactly what your problem is caused by.

Since its been sitting, check both battery cables for corrosion or just replace them. It might be the starter, which is cheap and easy to change. I'd have a big time trust issue with all of those items. Have the charging system checked once you get it running more reliably.
