serpentine belt

THe serpentine belt on my 2001 Caravan 3.3 Litre broke omn the weekend and a neighbor replaced it for me (being UNHANDY myself). When I started the vehicle later in the day it stalled two or three times before it started to act nortmally. The vehicle was driven a mile or so with a broken belt.....would anything like that cause the computer to have to be reste (or something like that)?? The van seems to be operating OK now but that stalling has me wondering...............
thanks for any advice

Should not be a problem.

Re: serpentine belt

I think there's a crank or cam sensor near the belt. Perhaps when the belt broke it flew and damaged one of the electrical wires causing an intermittent problem? Just a guess. have someone check out any wiring near there.
