ABS light on (01 ford sport trac 4x4)

Well, this is my first time posting and I hope you guys can help me. My ABS light came on about a week ago and I don't really know where to start . I know my truck has some abs sensors or speed sensors but I don't know where they are or if they are the same just different wording. Do you guys know if they are easy to clean, check or replace. Will I probably be able to do the work myself and how much will it cost me more or less.

I would like to take care of this problem soon. Just three days ago I had to brake hard and my truck went into a skid and did a 180 turn at 40 MPH. I almost hit 3 cars. So Pleasssse Help. Thanks

First thing to do is have the system scanned. You need a higher end scan tool to do thios. Parts stores will probably not work. When you have the code numbers, we can assist you more easily. With the code number, we can isolate the problem.
