Something wrong with my sub -- summer heat?

I have been using my sub for 2 years now and I noticed something really strange. last summer it started to sound weird so I took it to best buy to look it up and they said they found nothing wrong. The guy just turned over my sub to be facing the sky and that was it. The sub sounded more like rattling than anything.. Then, I think, once colder weather came in, the sub has been sounding great. Two days ago, again, the sub "lost" its power or something and it sounds very weird. It is not "hitting hard" again. IT seems like it is reproducing only certain frequencies -- e.g. only 80-100 Htz, but the 50-60 Htz are barely audible. Again, I do not how to describe it but I definitely notice the difference.

So is it possible the sub to not work properly during the summer when temperatures are high as well as the humidity ( I live on the east coast)? Is there anything I can do, or if I wait for the fall it will get better by itself?

it's probably the amp .... some amps put out less power when they get hot.

Ah.. so it could be that my amp does not power the sub properly due to the humidity and the hot temperatures...

yea id say the amp as well, that used to happen to me too,i live in chicago and it does get pretty humid sometimes..all i had to do tho,was just unplug all the wiring clean em with compressed air and plugged em back in and they worked perfectly fine.Also check your output levels,sometimes things jus move around without even knowing
