98 sentra dash and park light problem

I have a 98 sentra and I noticed that the dash lights were out the other morning. Upon further inspection, the park lights and tail lights were also out. The head lights work fine. I looked through the fuses and all seem fine both under the dash and on the drivers side under the hood. None of the fuses are marked as dash, guage, park or tail lights. Does anyone have any suggestions or another location for the proper fuse? Or better yet is it a whole other problem? H E L P ! ! ! !

that sounds exactly like a fuse, try to find one that is labeled lights, or accessory, or something, and you could plug a wire in its place to see if it fixes the problem. If there are none labelled like that then you could just go through one by one until you find the bad one, I can almost guarantee it is a fuse

Well he said he looked through them, I took that to mean he visually inspected them to see if they were still working, if that's the case then one could have been burned out and he just missed it. If it isn't that my only other guess would be a shorted wire, maybe one got rubbed too much and shorted itself to the chassis, you could test this with a multimeter if the fuse theory doesn't work

same exact problem

Im having the same exact problem and it all started when the fuse for my cigarette lighter blew on me when hooking up my stereo system.

I replaced the fuse and still no change. I looked through all the fuses one by one and no other bad fuses. I already got pulled over once for it, plus with the dash lights out its kinda hard to see how fast your going (Oh Well)

If anyone has had this problem before please email me at [email protected]
