05 cvpi PS & horn ?
Hi all, I have an 05 with 97k on it that I have a couple questions on. First is the power steering has an intermittent issue that it feels like there is no power about 40% of the time. I have drained all the old fluid and replaced it with new fluid/conditioner to no avail. One of the fluid lines on the bottom of the PS pump appears loose but is not leaking.
Also, when I press the horn I've been blowing fuses. I heard the horn actually sound once over the last month I've owned the car. Any suggestions on both would be appreciated. Thank you |

Re: 05 cvpi PS & horn ?
After thinking on yours a few days, I think it is probably the pump itself that is the culprit. The line that is loose is designed that way to allow flexing of the line under torque conditions. As for the horn, more than likely there is a problem in the column. There is no easy way to chase this down. Just start at the horn and go backwards until you find current. Sorry.
