97 Jimmy No Turn Signals
Well it is getting tough to drive with no signals so I better get em fixed. Everything about the truck is in good shape all of a sudden just lost all turn signals, hazards work fine and no other issues. Please don't tell me I need a new turn signal switch!! ouch!! Could this issue be a relay or something else that I can try before dropping the big bucks on a switch. Thanks pags20

Re: 97 Jimmy No Turn Signals
Thanks for the reply. The signals do absolutely nothing. Hazards and everything else work fine.

Re: 97 Jimmy No Turn Signals
Check owners manual for T/s flasher location. Many times the four ways and turn signals use 2 separate flashers. If so...swap them out to check flashers.

Re: 97 Jimmy No Turn Signals
I had a similar problem with my 97, I had to replace the flasher relay under the dash. If I recall there were 3 different round relays in a row, they are a bit of a pain to get to because you have to remove the paneling(?) and there are a lot of different size screws to keep track of (as well as courtesy lights to remount). The flashers are the same, so you can swap them around to check the different circuits.
One note, I went to autozone and they had the wrong relay listed, so take yours with you once you determine which it is, so you can physically match it up. They are fairly generic. Good luck, Rockyrider |
