|
door locks / power windows / power mirros NOT working!
I have a 97 buick park avenue......the power door locks when operated from within the vehicle do not work, drivers side or the passenger side both do not work...the power window switches on all 4 doors also do not work....the power mirror switches as well do not work...i checked all the fuses they are all good,
does anybody know if all these itmes are controlled by the door lock module underneath the rear seat, or is there another module / relay to control these itmes....its weird that all of them stopped working... any ideas??? thanks

There's a bus connection under the carpet on the driver side that gets corroded and causes these symptoms. When they get cleaned everything goes back to normal.

does the drivers seat need to be removed, or is it infront of the drivers seat ???

You should be able to just pull the carpet up. Its near the door. There are some threads on here That describe the symptoms and procedures along with pic's. It has never happen to me so I could give you exact details.

He has a 97 Park Ave.. Chances are he also has a Body Control Module as well as a Door Control Module in the doors... So he could have some Module issues as well..
