testing for stuck injectors.
i have 2 cars with what i think may be simular problems... stuck injectors. One, a chevy, probably has them stuck open, and the other, a ford, might have one stuck closed.
SO, the general question is--what's a good, easy way to find out which injector is stuck on a mpfi v6? anyone got some cheap suggestions? thanks in advance. |

Re: testing for stuck injectors.
You can take a long screw driver put on the side of the injector and listen.
http://www.autopart.com/tools/toolsmain/tool/T_2015.htm http://www.ntxtools.com/ search WAE-76400 Use an ohm meter and ohm each one. http://www.autopart.com/TOOLS/TOOLSMAIN/tool/T_3401.htm I would check for power to the injector first. |

Re: testing for stuck injectors.
Remove the connector from the injector while the engine is running, if there's no change in rpm you've located a/the misfiring cylinder, to verify that the selected injector is bad you have to rule out the valvetrain and ignition, if you have a injector pulser you can manually check each injector for correct operation
