newby here!

Hello all fellow vdubers. I am new here. I just picked up a 1989 Gti 16v. The car was basically given to me.. the car had a bad fuel line and wouldnt run. I have replaced line, but bypassed the accumulator. The car starts and idles great, but after a few mins of running, it will just die.. no sputter or anything.. Just die... I can let it idle and press on the gas and it seems to respond normally till after about 10 mins or so and give it a little gas and it completely dies.. There is a new fuel filter on it and put new OE bosch plugs in it. When I first tried to drive it, the car would take off fine, but then about 4k rpm it would buck like a bronco and die.. The car is fairly solid and dont want to scrap a decent MK2, but i am at a loss...
