96 Aurora Driver Door Lock Asy

I need help! Ok my driver door lock wouldn't work electronicaly so I was told to replace the assembly. Well I removed the door assy and the new one isnt working either no movement when the remote or door switch is depressed. I hooked up the 3 plugs to it and also the door harness's but nothing happens on the drivers side still (the other doors are working) Any idea why still nothing as far as the remote or door lock not working? I paid 150 for a door lock assy and still not working and it is a non returnable part! Could it be the relay? Where is the relayh switch? Is the relay switch the same as the relay>
Any ideas or help is greatly appreciated!
