Shaking in steering wheel while driving

While diving the steering wheel shakes. It is more pronounced at about 40 MPH. Any suggestions?

What are you driving and what have you checked? Almost sounds like a wheel out of balance or couold be a tire starting to delaminate causing a bubble in the tire. What kind of tires are you running? How long has it doing this?
