Re: RPM's Increasing

Is it shifting gears?

Does it have a lack of power?

Do you know what codes are causing the check engine light?

Re: RPM's Increasing

It shifts gears until it get to 40 mph. Once at 40, the rpms jumps and stay up however, the car will not shift gears anymore. After it do this I turn the car off and crank it back up and it is once again fine until it gets to 40 again and does the same thing over.

Does it have a lack of power?
No, it do not lack power. You can still hear the motor rising but will not increase in speed.

Do you know what codes are causing the check engine light?
No

Re: RPM's Increasing

Sounds like you may be having some transmission issues. Make sure the fluid is full and not burnt smelling. If the fluid is good it would be a good idea to find out what trouble codes are present. This can help narrow down the potential possibilities that are causing your symptom.
