1996 Chevy K1500 Key fob programming

I searched for awhile and found that the programming for 1996 Chevy K1500 key fob is the same as for 1993-1994 Camaro except the ground plug is above the pin as indicated for the camaro. Just check for ground using a tester and it will trigger your door locks. Then you will know that this is the correct pin. Once you locate the pin on the Port under the driver side dash, keep the tester or jumper wire to ground in place. The locks will cycle and then push any key on the new fob to program. The locks will cycle and then the remote is programmed. Repeat this step if you have a second remote. Disconnect wire when done and test fobs.
