speaker problem 96 suburban
R rear and L front speakers on my 96 1500 suburban 4x4 don't work. wiring looks fine on the rear , as does the speaker itself, not sure how to get into the front door panel, they don't pop off easily and i'm afraid to apply to much pressure. think this might be channels gone out on the main unit, but can't find a way to access this, ie, no screws, doesn't seem to just pull out, etc. not sure what to do at this point. also, the on off button broke, replaced it, but won't work as before; push in to turn on or off. thx, steve

Re: speaker problem 96 suburban
I just replaced a stock radio from a friends Yukon, you need to remove the dash face to get the radio out, also he had the right rear go out on his, thats what prompted him to install a new one

Re: speaker problem 96 suburban
How did he remove the dash face? I can't find any screws and it doesn't feel like it 'pops' out like a speaker cover. Thx for the reply. Steve

Re: speaker problem 96 suburban
if i remember there are screws under the dash, he did the dash, i did the wiring. the rest just pops lose with some force, there hard because you dont want them to just jump off on a speed bump
