Fixing Candy Paint

Hey guys I have painted several cars all with good results and was going to try a Candy on my sons Supra. I knew from the start I was most likely not going to get it right but I did want the experience. After the body and prep workI laid down HOK Metallic sealer, and then the Candy. I used HOK Organic Green concentrate and IC Clear. As I expected it was splotchy but most of the car looks great. The question is can I wet sand to remove the the splotches and even out the paint or do I sand it all down and start all over again.

Thanks

Re: Fixing Candy Paint

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you Mario but I've been busy waiting for Reggaeton to come back. Sanding your splotches will do nothing to remove your splotches. Adding more material is one option but it can be difficult to do spot work on candy paint jobs. The other option is to sand things down and start over. Using Klean-Strip's peeler will get you back down to catalyzed primer and then you can reapply your product.

Schemin and plottin to get your hemoglobin clottin.
