Where does this wire go?

Hello all again,

I have a 1999 3.8 Windstar and I recently found this wire located in the right rear interior panel of the van and I don't know what it connects to. The pictures are located here: http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2639...04024720SaPlFa

I found this wire by chance when I went to clean the drink holder on the right rear interior panel in the van. The drink holder just pops right out and I saw that wire in the picture just laying there so I decided to pull out the entire rear panel and I cant see anywhere where it should connect to. Anyone can just go to their vans and pull the drink holder cup at the right rear and see if they have this plug just laying there.

I also found a garbage bag filled with fire retardant or something in it can anyone confirm what is in the garbage bag. I have owned the van since new so no one just shoved this garbage bag in it. The garbage bag is sitting right beside the fuel shut off in the rear.

so this is the passenger side?

do you have a 12 volt power point back there in the trunk?

if not, that mught be it.

Yes, this is on the passenger right and it is not the 12volt socket because the 12volt socket works without that plugged in. So I dont know what it is for.

I have to apologize erik2002 I thought my 12 volt power plug worked but I just double checked and it does NOT work. So this wire is for the power plug. Now does anyone know where it connects to cause I cant find anywhere it should be connected.
