Alternator wire(s)

1995 2.2 S10 Pickup, 5 speed 233,000 miles. Base, no air or power windows/locks etc.

I am near the tail end of a head gasket replacement. Can anyone confirm that there are two wires that connect to one stud on the back of the alternator? One comes from the positive on the battery and the other comes from a wiring harness. I am pretty sure this is the case as the wire connectors look the same, and I see no where else the harness wire would connect, but the Haynes and Autozone manuals only mention one wire, not two.

I don't want to fry something if I am wrong.

Thanks
