Mazda MX-5

A couple weeks ago, we holded a 24 hours build with our dutch forum.

I wanted to build 2 simple kits within these 24 hours, so I only painted the body a week before.

The first kit is the Tamiya Mazda MX-5. It's a simple kit and that's exactly what I wanted

The wheels are very ugly so I had to use some other wheels. Luckely these Fujimi BBS RS wheels looks quite good on this car.

I painted the body TS-14 Black, clearcoated it whit TS-65 Pearl Clear and TS-13 Clear.

During the 24 hours I also made some progress pics, but they're not very good quality... Sorry for that.

I polished the body first.

Painted the windowtrims.

Builded the chassis.

Painted the window:

I also started on the interior. I used flat red as main color and added grey interiorflocking. The dash and other details were painted aluminium. The middle section of the seats are painted grey.

All the small parts are also painted and now it was time to build everything together.

When I went home I made some final pics of the car.

After 24 hours and no sleep, you must not think you get a super perfect model, but I'm really happy with this result. I really enjoyed a change like this to see what I can do within 24 hours Next year I'll do it again.

Kris.

24 hours straight? That's quite an accomplishment by itself being able to stay awake. Good job!

I thought 24 hours build meant 24 hours spread over a few days or so.

beauty little car indeed. im sure you would have done it so much better if u're not in '24 hour build'. considering this, you have achieved a great result. congrats

Very nice looking model, especially for a 24hrs build! The interior color combo is great!

I bought them a year ago at www.hlj.com I'd ordered 8 sets of them, so I never have to buy them anymore.
