'95 Rodeo 4cyl./5sp. random stalling

I have a 4cyl. Rodeo, 142,000 miles, and last week it started acting weird... the idel went up high for one day, ever since then, it's been stalling randomly... mostly when the engine is faily cold... and mostly while shifting into second, or coming off idle... Like when backing out of the driveway, or shifting into second at a stoplight...

Since it is a complete shutdown, not running rough, or on 3 cylinders, I am assuming it's either an ignition or fuel problem...

Anybody else have to solve this problem?

Also, the clutch has a really low engagement point, Does't it have anything to do with the bleeder being well below the resevoir?

Re: '95 Rodeo 4cyl./5sp. random stalling

OK, not so random now, it seems when the throttle is pressed too quickly, the engine stalls, leading me to believe there is a vacuum leak, that when the throttle is opened, the sensors go out of range... so first step is to replace all the 15 year old vacuum lines and intake gasket.

My '93 does the same. I also think it is a vacuum leak. You can adjust your clutch from under the pedal, there is a screw and jam nut to adjust the height, your clutch will work better after this adjustment, my did. Hope this helps.
