92 cav crankshaft sensor
How do you remove the crankshaft sensor on a 92cavalier>? I don't see any bolts holding it in. tried to pry it out but to no avail!

Re: 92 cav crankshaft sensor
Welcome to AF!
Engine size will make a difference here.

Re: 92 cav crankshaft sensor
The few I've done have been attached to the ignition module from behind. If you removed the ignition module and the sensor stayed in, then the sensor broke, and from what I hear will be a PITA to get out.
I got your PM. It may help if you post that information here, but I didn't read past where I realized it was related to this. Read the red text above the text field on the 'send PM' page and you'll understand why.

Re: 92 cav crankshaft sensor
On the '91 2.2, (I would think it would be the same as '92)
the crank sensor is towards the passenger side wheel. (Under and to the left of the DIS/Coils, as you are looking down the back of the motor.) It is attached with a bolt thru the small flange around the left side of the sensor. Hope this helps! |
