Engine Smoking
For the last two weeks I've noticed my engine will smoke whenever I turn my steering wheel all the way towards one direction. A white smoke will come billowing out from the center of the engine. I have no idea what could be causing this. All fluid levels seem to be okay, but it has to be some type of fluid. My engine is running a little hotter than normal, so I suspect a coolant leak somewhere. Has anyone had a similar problem?

Re: Engine Smoking
Only when all the way? Which direction? Check your power steering pump, lines and steering box.

Re: Engine Smoking
Yeah, only when the wheel is turn all the way in either direction. It's done it when turned to the left and right. I'll go check the steering more thoroughly, but the engine temp increasing slightly is baffling me... thanks for the advice.

Re: Engine Smoking
Where you out wheeling, hit a pothole or anything when it began?
When you crank the wheel against the steering stops, the power steering pressure spikes. If you have a leak, it can easily spray on the exhaust manifold, block, or head.
