Porsche GT-2 Build

Hi everyone,
My name is David and I am a sports car freak when it comes to models.
With that out of the way on to the build.
I have compiled a few photos since the build is progressing quickly I will give a quick run down.
Built chassis and found the wheels were wrong. Backed up and modified the wheels to single lug racing style.
Many changes to the base Tamiya Taisan kit. Many holes were cut into the body for revised cooling. Body is urethane base coat with auto-air mix of white and deep purple paint for the fenders and nose.

Trans kit is Scale Productions 1998 kit which includes the nose and a new rear wing.

It does take a few minutes.
Here is the car. Will look better with the numbers on it.

Re: Porsche GT-2 Build

I made the decals on a laser printer this weekend. Seem okay but I think I could do better on the sizes. These were drawn in illustrator and the silver was cut from silver decal sheet behind the "99"

Hard to believe it has been so long. This is only the second model in the last few years. Look forward to building many more with nothing else taking up my free time.

Welcome to AF David! (Are you the D.D. owner of the garage photo?)

Interesting conversion, I personally think the GT2 is always lovely...

Very well done modification and job. Did you print even the chrome surround of the #99?

Robi

Hi Robi,
I cut the chrome around the 99 out of chrome like decal.
I have many more photos here of the car.
