99 Prix A/C leaking freon
I have a small leak on my A/C compressor. I had the dye put in and then a week later found freon leaking. There was not an aboundant amount of freon showing on the frame, so my question is can I replace the seals on the compressor myself without having the system to be vacuumed by a professional, or would it be worth a shot to buy the R134a with the sealing additive in it. Thanks in advance for all your help.

Re: 99 Prix A/C leaking freon
Welcome to AF!!
To answer your question the answer is no. Anytime you open the AC system it must be evacuated with a vacuum pump before you can recharge it. I would try the refrigerant with the sealer. Otherwise take it to a shop for repair. |
