1989 toyota 4x4 pick-up 22re not starting well.

I noticed for the past few days that my pick-up is not starting properly. When I turn the key in the ignition, I don’t get the crank that I am used to, I get a single Click sound like a relay switch has activated. I must try several times before I can get the truck started. I used another car to jump with and had the same results. I noticed that the distributor cap had a crack and white corrosion in the terminal that the wire from the ignition coil attaches to so I replaced the distributor cap and the ignition rotor, but the problem still is going on. Anyone got any subjection on what to try next?

Sounds like your starter may be getting weak or your battery posts and clamps need cleaning

Okay, it looks like I jumped the gun here. I drove it to work and got a good charge on the battery. Now it starts just fine again. Must of been all of those attempted starts before the fix made the battery a little low. Well it all works again!

Thanks!
