96 Roadmaster misfires, hesitation
Just bought a 96 Roadmaster wagon with 66k miles. I have an intermittent problem with what feels like misifiring and hesitation. My first thought on the LT1 is an optispark issue, but wonder if it could be anything else. The car sometimes give the impression it's going to kill at a stoplight as it misfires (no real sound noted just a miss) and it sometimes hesitates upon acceleration. At stop, I need to accelerate slowly to prevent this, it also occurs when I coast and then accelerate to get back to speed. Seems most prevalent at speeds of 45-50MPH. I know the optispark can cause a bunch of different problems, but I was wondering if any experienced owners could think of any other possibilities. Thanks.

Certainly the opti can cause misfire, but have you checked the wires & plugs
